So, SusanJane.me. I’ve been thinking a lot about having a personal blog again. And I really want to, only because I enjoy being able to look back and read about what I’ve learned over the span of time writing. I’ve had blogs since 2002, and have jumped around a bunch of domains. I’m sure people are like, ‘dang she can’t make up her mind where to blog!’ Well, they’re right! I can’t. I just needed something where I can just dump my thoughts and whatever. And I think SusanJane.me is the best place for that.
Godaddy automatically renewed this domain for another year (without telling me, but then again I set it to recur automatically) so that’s my fault. I don’t want this domain to just sit on the internet doing nothing. Actually, I have a bunch of domains that are just sitting. It’s just too easy to buy domains nowadays. But, I have a bunch of goals for 2010 that I have, and some revolve around those domains I did buy. So from now until January, I’m going to really figure out which domains I want to keep and the ones I don’t care to renew.
Yes, my life does revolve around the internet. And I’m sure I’m not the only one! It’s so different from 1998! I remember going “online” just to chat on aim with friends… then eventually I made my own website… then, I started blogging. Now, blogging has become a lifestyle for some people, which I think is fascinating!
Anyway, this blog will focus on different things, mostly life in general… stuff I find interesting online and photos of different things. Kind of like Sueyboo.com – which I no longer have. I can’t believe I had that domain since 2002…and now it’s kaput. I decided to get rid of the domain for the main purpose of moving on from that part of my life. For a long time, I had a hard time letting go of things like that… but I just didn’t have the heart to. I guess you can say SusanJane represents a more mature, adult me, and Sueyboo (obviously) represents the young, naive me.
I’m hoping 2010 will be the year of crazy changes – changes only I can make happen. I just hope I can keep it up by sticking to this blog!
